PRIMAL SCREAM!!! nuff said.. we moved on up at irving plaza to the sounds of one of my favorite bands oh yes.. their music reminds me of my college career all summed up into a few albums.. listening to xtrmntr and hating it until a shoegaze boy named brian explained to my the significance of this album to completely change the way i listened to music.. screaming guitars and heavy feedback always found at his drug-filled parties, xtrmntr was the soundtrack to his hyper rockstar lifestyle and it became mine minus the drugs.. then miss suds came alot with her tales of british youth and glastonbury and how i need to get screamadelica cause is has "don't fight it, feel it", so i did and it brought back memories of acid house and britpop predecesors.. i would play it sunday mornings at the cafe getting those with a good ear into the dance-y grooves.. oh and then a new album evil heat, the monster of them all combining elektro garage and speed for the best album of the summer.. it climbed to number one on our stations chart and i smilied proudly feeling a sense of accomplishment.. then tonight, being able to see them live in nyc with five, count em, five encores! from accelerator, to miss lucifer, to movin on up, to swastika eyes to the all out amazing finale of the stooges no fun with a little help from the kills!!! best concert of the year i must say yes.. it only hurt they played rise and i thought of my summer roommates having sex to that song on full blast.. oh well it all works out in the end..
