gay pride was fun as it came at spurts on waverly and sixth ave. watching with remy was the best cause he knew so many people and took lots of pictures.. running into rebecca was random and it made me think that sophie was with sarah at the same time.. small world.. the city was afire with painted up boys and girls and animals.. i took a little break to walk up to blue stockings book store to sell sophies amazing zine. i picked up the new collection of dorothy allison stories called "TRASH" not out till october!.. the girl at the counter was so nice and told me she loved the zine and would happy to put it on the shelf that moment.. much nicer than wooden shoe two days prior.. which brings me to philly.. i visited with anna in her new apartment a block from her school.. we got caught out in the rainstorm from hell that came with a hurricane warning. ruined my breaking sneakers and freshly baked pumpkin bread. took a trolley to south street and baked in the heat that is philly and always will be for me and suds at least... searched hi and low for new kicks and some old records.. but found neither. so we settled on some large slices of pizza and ate them on the front steps of a gym.. next week sees a trip to my dads house for some much needed catching up with joni beth and co. then back to neuva york for a series of concerts a la luna, gogogo airheart, the locust, arab on radar, lightning bolt, erase errata, sonic tooth, radio 4, breeders, love, and more that i cant remember... and now for a dash back int the city to see some electroclash djs spin their hearts out..
