listening to black rebel motorcycle club reminds me of walking in the hot sunshine of south street as me and suds spy on the cute children of philadelphia and then run of to graveyards to read new found zines and open records.. what this summer will bring is unsure, hopefully philly again. it makes summer worth the heat but the radio station will be abandoned.. but happiness over business..
so its been a while since i was last here. saw two of the best shows this year-- siouxsie and the banshees w/suicide and then last night was neil halstead w/sid hillman.. both doing their solo thang.. siouxise told us she would "take us for a ride" and thats just what she did.. a trip back in time as she sang mittageisen, jigsaw feeling, pure, monitor, nightshift, icon, and drop dead/celebration which she dedicated to her brother cause its his favorite song.. of course they played all the singles from the early days and the kids just loved it. woo! slowdive, arabian knights, spellbound, christine, happy house, kiss them for me, cities in dust, and more i cant remember right now.. they ended the night with a beatles cover i couldnt fully grasp.. oh well she still looks perfect and she still loves to dance!
now i am off to study.. last nights show was just as good but in an mellow way.. just neil halstead acoustic.. singin lots of mojave 3 and even my favorite neil young song "out on the weekend" cause it times like that when neil covers neil that my eyes swell up with happy tears and i know everythings gonna be just fine.. tonight is b.r.m.c with spiritualized.. get yr guitars ready.
