assorted ramblings from a sad journal..:

leaving on a jet link.. i dont know where i'm going when i get back... bought too many records, caused too many fights and made the best goo ever.. big brother at 10:00 eastenders at 7:30/8:00 i just melted into this british world and i dont want to leave.. i want to stay here, work on love w/ bo and get a job amke sure she is strong. i will not forget all we did...

--university with the lost wallet that was on the pink duvet all along.. duke of yorkes with maiko and dan and some girl from montclair.. when the film was finally over we crawled upstairs and dan and i talked about the summer and jobs and how bad i wanted to stay and work in the laines and the concerts....

ben kweller - taking a train to london - then camden.. walkin to the venue so nervous and full of piss meeting up with liz then ben then a zine/record guy with black rimmed glasses and then noticing i was the only one there without a similar pair..watching the opening band and how bad they were so off for some falafel that grossed us out.. back to concert with ben coming out on stage with a big "BK" behind him.. playing all sophies favorites with tears at times and jumping at others.. then an encore of ice ice baby that the entire crowd sang along to and the interview upstairs with all the best questions and getting serious about mantras and hairdoos.. then the high ends when we realize no trains to portabello road.. but we hop in a fun black taxi and whiz off.. phone meriel and she comes down to wave us over.. sleeping on a pull out couch bed and waking up to sun-filled busy market below and no meriel in sight.. wash up all the dishes for fun and talk about living in london with suds.. meriel arrives with a pair of white shoes to sell tomorrow in her stand and then makes us tea and toast and shows us round her room then descend down to portabello road where her dad owns a record show. honest dons.. look at records, clothes, post cards and a cashmere jumper for 20 pounds. free veggie food and a trip to rough trade where they have rough prices then into london for the tat modern and a ninety-nine.. feeling tired and dirty we go back to brighton and rest up.. tomorrow is le tigre..

sunday comes along again.. witha a special night of love and dancing.. electroclash dj before le tigre and a little did we know that we missed the blue minkies.. strangers approach asking for suds and she replies with amazing at fellow blogsters.. out come the grrrls in the outfits from feminist sweepstakes cover! lt tour theme, my art, and so many more.. a talk from kathleen telling all the boys to go and tell their friends to stop shouting at girls or making them uncomfortable.. on gaurd! and a few presents at the end cause its the end of the european tour.. johanna had a headache as seen in singing of mediocrity rules.. jd tells her to stay in bed all day and play..yeah!seven zines sold and we are off to nikkis to see dan dj but the busses have stopped.. back home sleep and dream..

monday the golden jubilee of queen elizabeth da second and ben informs us that his chums band is playing nearby.. so me cat sara rob and dan pile into ben's smal car for an unforgettable adventure.. upper dicker.. a portaloo welcomes us and rob gets high.. off into the field with a tractor in it and red white and blue dressed folk with plastic picnic tables with center pieces and lots of wine and food and dessert..jumpers tied around their necks and face painting by a clown.. watching ben cat sara and rob dance in same sex pairs was well worth the rain and losing tug of war.. no candy floss here.. the ride back home was NOW 8 on the stereo.. as everyone sings to pet shop boys and cameo. return to an empty house cause suds is out shopping.. no anti jubilee celebration dancing tonight.. rather we watch big brother.. sleep..

next day is still a bank holliday so radio one is playlist free and we tape mark and lard and make our way to the laines then to brighton rocks with ben and gemma from kaitO.. see coin-op and electrelane and the blue minkies who knock us over with their sound.. dance to carrot rope and no. 1 song in heaven and AM 180..go home crash..

wenesday brings us to a wild chase to HSBC for sophies switch and credit card that havent come yet.. off to uni for computers and no food.. more eastenders and big brother..

thursday was blue minkies and winterbrief at the freebut where eric was wierd as ever and the blue minkies rocked as ever.. suds talked to the guitar player bout the gossip and ladyfest and zines.. and then made a sale to a very happy boy with orange hair..

friday was the oxes with ben at the freebut and how they blew out the sonic jams with no vocals and a cover of the foo fighters "everlong" that didnt impress till the end.. the two guitarists played the same type of guitar.. hot hot heat made us sweat..

the rest of the trip is blurry and certian moments stand out.. england going through to the final 16.. carrot soup at infinity food cafe.. bread pudding at mrs. d..carless talks costs lives strange "dance" party.. chilling with ian and neil with the new beyonce playing.. more to come at a later date randomly getting my memory back..

all i can say is wish i was still there
